What We're Looking For

  • A composer with experience or interest in creating music for dance, particularly in environments where accessibility matters.
  • Someone who can collaborate with performers to integrate visual, spatial, and sensory considerations.
  • An ability to adapt compositions so they work well for both trained dancers and audience members with sensory or mobility differences.

Why This Matters

Art and performance should be for everyone. This project aims to set a higher standard for genuine accessibility. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience and participate in the arts, regardless of their abilities or circumstances.

How to Apply

If you're ready to compose something meaningful, share your portfolio and approach to accessible composition. We're looking for creative minds who understand that great art is inclusive art. Please send your application with examples of your work and a brief statement about your approach to accessible performance.

We parked in the car park of WBA's Training Academy, situated in Halfords Lane. We arranged parking beforehand and obtained the contact details from Level Playing Fields. Learnt at the ground that some people had been told by the club that there was no parking but we had no problem in arranging this, WBA's Training Academy is situated about 75-100 yards away from the ground. According to the information provided by the club, the road was closed 1 ยพ hours before match and opened up 1 hour after final whistle. It appeared however that the road was opened up, say, half an hour after the end of the match. There was an area for entertainment for both sets of fans, music and a television screen. All you had to do was show your ticket. Fantastic burgers out side of the ground. Only ยฃ3, each which was a bargain. We were situated in front of our own supporters in the Smethick stand by the right corner flag. The pitch appeared to be high from our seating position. The view was okay, but not the best I have had. You could have a party in the 2 accessible toilets. A radar key opened the toilet. If you did not possess one of these, I was told that a steward would assist. The toilets were used by both sets of supporters at half time and there was a queue but it did not really present a problem. Friendly and helpful stewards, 5 star rating, and a great day out, especially because of the result.
